It's something we hear again and again from parents who stay with us: "Family Promise gave me a place to breathe and plan for the future." In 2027, we will break ground on two new quadplexes at 903 Method Road in Raleigh to provide eight units of temporary housing for families experiencing homelessness for a total cost of $1.7 million. They mark Phase 1 of our four-phase plan to build a total of 36 temporary housing units for families. That's a lot of breathing room.
THE NEED
-
There is a pressing need of between 9 and 27 additional units of temporary housing for families experiencing homelessness in Wake County.
-
The current waitlist for shelter where families can stay together is more than one year.
-
Without shelter space where families can stay together, they are forced to separate into age- and gender-specific shelters across the county.
-
For every four individuals you see experiencing homelessness in our community, there is a child experiencing homelessness.
THE PLAN
Two new quadplexes at 903 Method Road in Raleigh to provide eight new units of temporary housing for families experiencing homelessness. These units will match the aesthetic of the neighborhood to preserve the dignity of our guests.

Each unit will have two bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen, and living space that will comfortably serve our average family.
